My name is Evelyn Hunter and I would like to welcome you to what I hope will become a place to hang out and share the creative artistry created by putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard. Somehow I was infected with a passion to express what was going on inside and out by putting it in writing. Fiction and non-fiction share equal places in my desire to immortalize a few of the thoughts that cross my mind, which is too often a bitchy place.
Through my five years in college I grabbed at the portions of text that grabbed at my heart strings and turned them into writing prompts. Those prompts were not always what University instructors were looking for but few knew to gravity of it all.
While English is my first (and technically my only) language, I was taken with the beauty of the Spanish language during my college years. In more recent years, because of the love for my life-long home and its cultural significance, I have turned my linguistic focus to the Hawaiian language.
Running, daydreaming and writing, usually in that order, are the areas that cry out for my devoted attention these days. The pesky things like job, taxes and the like usually win more time than any of the former would like them to but, such is life.
